The Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial and museum have a few reconstructed buildings. Once the prisoners disembarked the train carriages, the SS separated out those who would go directly to the gas chambers to be killed and thosed who would be sent to one of these many barracks if they were needed for slave labour or for medical experiments.
